What is a GoCruiseMe
fundraising campaign?
GoCruiseMe campaigns are designed for families to fundraise for a staff-assisted vacation. Once you start your campaign, you can guide family, friends, coworkers, and businesses to make contributions towards your vacation. You can start a GoCruiseMe campaign without having a vacation booked or deposited.
What can the funds be used for?
- Any staff-assisted vacation fare (minus deposit) for your immediate family. The deposit amount must be paid by the guest.
- Vacation taxes and fees
- Service fees for staff sssistance
- Cruise gratuities
When funds raised exceed the total of the above, an Onboard Credit of up to $100 per person can be applied to your reservation upon request. Any remaining funds can be moved to a new GoCruiseMe for a future vacation. Unused funds can be transferred to the Foundation's General Fund to support the Dreams Come True program.


How are contributions made?
- We set up your own unique campaign page on our website (see here).
- You can decide to have your page:
- Public - on our website, on our list of campaigns, so anyone can choose to contribute to your campaign, or Private - where you supply the web page link to just those you want to view it
- Simply provide others with the link to your page, via email, free electronic Invites, flyers, Facebook, etc.
- Please note, the Foundation cannot directly promote your campaign.
Families with a child with a disability (regardless of age) can fundraise for their own staff-assisted vacation. Groups and organizations can fundraise for a large group staff-assisted vacation.
All money raised from events you hold such as car washes, tag sales, etc., can be paid into your campaign through the link on your page. Local restaurants may run fundraiser nights that share a percentage of the takings from your supporters who attend. Please note that raffles and bingo nights, for example, might be regulated in your state and should be researched before you hold them.
The Foundation retains 10% of the total amount raised. This covers credit card processing fees passed on to the Foundation, and the cost of administering the program. This amount is deducted at the time of paying funds toward your staff assisted vacation reservation.
When you instruct us, the Foundation will make a payment (from your funds raised) to your vacation reservation, which must be prior to your final payment deadline.
Ordinarily these contributions are not tax deductible, as the payments are benefiting you as an individual and not the Foundation. This is the same as other sites like GoFundMe, and in accordance with rules issued by the IRS. If you believe your circumstances are different, please contact us by emailing [email protected]

GoCruiseMe Terms and Conditions
- GoCruiseMe campaigns are purposed to help you raise funds for a staff-assisted vacation, and should not be used for any other purpose.
- Contributions are not tax deductible for your supporters, as the payments are benefiting you as an individual and not the Foundation's mission.
- You are responsible for requesting payments toward your staff assisted vacation reservation. Instructions will be provided when you apply for a campaign.
- A fee of 10% of will be retained by the Autism on the Seas Foundation to cover credit card charges and the cost of administering the GoCruiseMe program. This is calculated and deducted from each payment you make toward your staff assisted vacation reservation.
- It is your responsibility to promote your campaign, the Foundation cannot do this for you.
- Your campaign will be set up for a maximum of 2 years. If campaign funds have not been used within this time period, we will contact you with options to use the funds.
